I want red tomatoes 2/2 RESULTS

End result

I saw that the tomatoes started to change and I thought that if all the tomatoes goes red, I have no usefull data. So experiment terminated and here is the results:

It's weird because the two with the best results are opposites to each other.

Nr 3 and 6. Two red tomatoes and one orange.
How can I analyse the results better?

Maybe a table:

No paper seems to be better.
No banana also seems to be better.
And it doesn't matter if they are in the sun or not.

How about that?

I also did with procentages and included 2 lines. The new lines count the papered tomatoes as in no sun. Thus maybe giving a more correct analysis of wheter sun ripens tomatoes or not.
These last ones says that sun stops the ripening process.

I've heard that putting red tomatoes with red tomatoes helps the tomato ripen. So I'm going to try that.

I'm putting the bags far appart like last time. I will be back in a week maybe. We'll see when we get results.

I want red tomatoes

I have green tomatoes. I'm going to try 3 different techniques to get them ripe.

A friend has said that packing green tomatoes in paper helps them ripe.
A friend has said that bananas have a hormone that helps them ripe.
I think that the sun will help them ripe.

I sorted out 24 tomatoes from a batch. I removed worm-eaten and odd tomatoes.

I  Ranked them in maturity. From left to right, they increase in dark-green-ness.

8 Different sets. 3 tomatoes in each. If I'd only have 1 tomato in each set, it will not be as a certain that it was the enviroment that made it red. I don't know how to explain it...

This is to test all kinds of different ways (in combination). The one without anything, in the second basket, could be seen as control.

Being in paper will block the ray of sun. It might be useless to have this many sets. Especially set
Since the hormones of bananas might travel a bit. I thought that I might get a greater difference if I separate them a bit more. So I moved the non-banans sets into the next room. Both now have an own window. About 3m from each other.
I don't know how fast I will get results.

Hopefully I wont get bananaflies or have to change the bananas to much.

I will continue the experiment at least for 1 month. So Next tomatopost will hopefully be 2016-10-08.
Feel free to comment the science-ability of the project.
